Plymouth, Minnesota – New, large size ETP Techno shaft locking bushings are now available for bore sizes of 110, 120 and 130 mm (4.330, 4.724 and 5.118 inches).
They are designed for locking components to large shafts with repeatable precision for applications requiring frequent mounting operations. They are ideal for locking into position gears, pulleys, sprockets and other components in automated machinery.
Handling torque ranges from 247,820 inch lbs. to 283,223 inch lbs. (28,000 to 32,000 Nm), these ETP Techno shaft locking bushings from Zero-Max provide the highest radial load performance within the ETP radial actuation screw product line.
The ETP Techno features radial screw design for fast, robust mounting, repositioning and phasing of components to the shafts. ETP Techno positions in seconds and can be readjusted hundreds of times just as quickly and without any axial movement of the bushing or component along the keyless shaft. An Allen wrench is all that is required to mount and lock these bushings into place. They have sealed, clean lines that resist debris collection and clean easily without any special maintenance.
The Techno incorporates a double-walled sleeve filled with a pressure medium. When the actuation screws are tightened, the hydraulic pressure medium in the sleeve expands the double walled sleeve, forming a very tight, continuous connection between the shaft and mounted component. The bushing aligns precisely without axial movement as it is tightened.
In addition to the three new large sizes, the ETP Techno is available in 18 additional sizes to handle 15 mm through 100 mm shaft sizes, ETP Techno bushings are a great choice for new and retrofit applications particularly in automated machinery applications such as printing presses, high speed automation, and test equipment.
